I built this car while living in Indianapolis 2004 - 2006

Based on 76 911 tub. Lexan side windows, GT fiberglas front fenders, 930 steel rear flares, Bilstein front coil overs, Bilstein rear sport shocks, Weltmeister front and rear adjustable anti-sway bars and torsion bars, 944 turbo front calipers, 1988 Turbo bosted brake set-up with 23MM master cylinder, solid aluminum motor and transmission mounts, 930 tail, Forgeline 17" wheels - 17 X 11 rear, 17 X 8 front with Z tires, Weltmeister adjustable spring plates, Kevlar clutch disc, WEVO shifter etc. Also has Meziere in-line electric water pump and Howe aluminuim radiator.

The engine is a 355cubic inch V8, aluminum heads, 425HP at crank on dyno - built by ARC sprint car engine shop in Brownsburg Indiana. Renegade Hybrids (Las Vegas) Billet adaptor allows 915 transaxle with Guard billet side plate, .595 high gear (200MPH @ 6200RPM) to hook-up to the V8 bellhousing pattern + Weltmeister high-torque 930 starter. The Porsche clutch/flywheel assembly is machined to mate with the V8 clutch flange pattern. Car also has 930 Turbo half shafts, six bolt CVs and 930 stub axles. Transmission was built by Ed Baus .

I used Renegade's Aerocool Coated headers and fabricated a tight, lightweight exhaust system based on stainless Porsche 993 Twin Turbo mufflers. This set-up tucks in quite nicely and is the best I have found to date. I also utilized a Painless Wiring street rod loom, fuse and relay kit for the entire car's electrical. Where practical I used the original Porsche switches i.e. headlights, turn signals, etc. And, of course, an Optima battery.
I have had a number of 911s and a couple of 930s but wanted more of a quick accelerating hot rod (Will run 200 at 6200 too). First choice was to put together an old lightweight 911 with a 993 Varioram but found that engine mods would be too expensive (not that what I have built has been "economical"). Next plan was to find cheap HP thus the V8. If you eventually throw the V8 rods on the ground it is pretty cheap to stick in a complete new engine, unlike a Porsche powerplant.

Bodywork and paint done by Don DeVault in Kentland Indiana.

I'd be happy to respond to anyone thinking about thius type of build. Its my third so I have learned what NOT to do.
